The SAAQ system breaks down; customers invited to take a detour through online services

The Régie de l’assurance automobile du Québec announced on Wednesday that its internal computer services had experienced a breakdown on Tuesday which could affect its services until the end of the week. It urges customers to use its online services or automated phone systems to complete transactions.

In a notice posted on its website and on social media, the Quebec Automobile Insurance Corporation announced that its “systems have been affected by an outage to our general IT system, which may impact our services. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

“Please use our online services or automated telephone systems to complete your transactions. If you need to go to a service point, please make an appointment.

The provincial agency said the systems outage is expected to last until the weekend.

A spokesperson for the SAAQ said the accident, although resolved, could still have an effect on services.
