Mangalore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) President Ravishankar Mijar on Wednesday launched an online payment system at MUDA.
The software is developed by I-Search, Keonics’ local service provider.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the improvement fee for a single site, the fee for the approval of a single site, the approval of multiple sites, the ToR, the change of site and the Charges for other services offered by MUDA can be done online by visiting the website.
The software is integrated with Bank of Baroda.
Once the layout plan has been approved, the applicant receives an SMS with the case number and the domain link. By clicking on the domain link and entering the case number, applicants will get payment details.
Payment can be made by debit card, credit card, NEFT or Unified Payments Interface (UPI). Payment is confirmed by SMS. With this, applicants don’t need to visit MUDA and pick up a slip for chalan bank and queue at the bank to make the payment, Mijar explained.
Transactions of Rs 100 crore are carried out in the MUDA every year. On average, 15 to 20 people go to the MUDA office to collect the payment slip for the various services offered by the MUDA through the bank. With the online payment system, people can pay while sitting at home or even from their desks.
