MEMPHIS, Tennessee – UPDATE: 12/02/2021 5:30 AM

Online account services and telephone systems are operational again.

Users can log into their account and make a payment.

Memphis Light, Gas and Water said the utility would not do any disconnection for a second day due to a system outage.

System outages at MLGW on Wednesday hampered payments and other day-to-day operations, the company said.

According to MLGW, the company experienced several system outages around 1 p.m.

MLGW’s community office and My Account went down and the drive-thru was closed, according to a press release.

On Wednesday evening, MLGW said it was still unable to process payments. Therefore, no disconnection will take place on Thursday.

The outages also affected MLGW’s Netters business operations center, and MLGW’s customer service agents had limited access to telephone lines.

MLGW said people can still use drop boxes and paying agents.

The company said payments will be processed as soon as possible and that it will notify customers when issues are resolved.
