Mangaluru City Corporation facilitates the online payment of property tax

Mangaluru, November 2: Mayor Premananda Shetty, announced that the city corporation here has installed a web application (https://www.mccpropertytax.in/Public/) to allow people within the corporation’s boundaries to pay property tax in line. They can also check property details and tax payment details so far, he added.

He was speaking at a press conference after launching the online property tax payment system’s web application at the city’s auditorium on Monday, November 1.

“People can easily pay property taxes from the comfort of their homes or any other place they choose. This application is user-friendly software. People can get information about taxes they have already paid in previous years and also those which must now be paid, which facilitates the payment of the sums already due, he explained.

“In the current context, digital payment technology is increasingly used in the administrative system and the public domain. It has acquired an important place in the daily life of people. after which the company made this facility available, ”he said.

MPs D Vedavyasa Kamath and Dr Y Bharath Shetty, Deputy Mayor Sumangala Rao, Chief Company Whip Sudhir Shetty Kannur, Standing Committee Chairs Sandeep Garodi, Leela Prakash, Shobha Rajesh and City Commissioner Akshy Sridhar, were present when the new app was dedicated to the world.

Payment

People should click on the official website link, enter cell phone number, and OTP should be entered at reception. It must be confirmed when the land has been converted and if so, the actual area according to the deed of sale must be mentioned. Building number, Khata number, Property ID, Owner’s address, etc. should be checked to ensure accuracy. Other details must be filled in and if the same is hired, the details of the person hired must be recorded. The road the property is on should be selected and the type of property, whether commercial, residential, non-commercial, etc. must be registered.

After providing other details like property square footage and building square footage, the desired details should be completed. The tax payable must be paid online (net banking, debit card, Google Pay, PhonePe, wire transfer) or if online challan must be obtained and the amount due can be paid by any bank.
