Div Com Jammu Reviews Online Service Delivery: Must Act On Removal Of Gr. No 999001100781 dtd 3/2019?

Jammu, 20th July: The Divisional Commissioner today chaired a meeting of Heads of Departments to review the quality of public services and the rating of online services provided through the rapid rating system.

Div Com can see the outcome of the final elimination shown by its & DC Jammu Office of Grievances No 999001100781 & 999001100747 filed on March 14, 2019 which will say how the grievances are being troubled.

He also reviewed preparations for the Digital Week celebration, celebrated in J&K from July 25-30.

Discussing activities related to the Digital Week celebration, Div Com said the UT government has launched digital services to make life easier for the public and bring transparency in the delivery of services to citizens.

Relevantly, J&K ranked first among all UTs in the National Assessment of Electronic Service Delivery on State Portal and Service Portal by DARPG, Government of India 2021.

He said that during the week-long celebration, citizens will be sensitized about online services such as Aap Ki Zameen Aap Ki Nigrani, Aap ka Mobile Hamara Daftar (UMANG), e-UNNAT, DigiLocker, etc. All HoDs were asked to activate their services online and promote them by organizing campaigns in coordination with Deputy Commissioners for Digital Week celebrations.

The Div Com also suggested launching information, education and communication services. Specific instructions have been given to the Department of Rural Development to hire artists to publicize the online services through block and panchayat level murals.

Officers from the department of Jal Shakti and Jammu Power Development Corporation have been tasked with promoting online bill payment and filing applications for new connections. Similar instructions have been given to Forest, Jammu Smart City and other departments.

They were also told to set up facilitation counters in offices to provide advice to the public. He was informed that during Digital Week, all DCs have been tasked with organizing Digital Melas in neighborhoods.

Div Com directed Department Heads of line departments to appoint Nodal Agents in each District to coordinate with DCs in setting up booths during the Digital Mela.

Div Com reiterated that e-services have greatly benefited the public and brought transparency in the operation of public offices.

The meeting was attended by JMC Commissioner, Rahul Yadav; Director of Rural Development Department, Mohammad Mumtaz Ali; co-director of information, Sapna Kotwal; Central Assistant Commissioner, Pritam Thappa; Deputy Director of Planning, Munish Dutta, in addition to senior officers from Health, Jal Shakti, Rural Development, JPDCL, School Education, Forestry and other concerned officers.
