CS leads integration of all online services with RAS by July 15

Chief Secretary Dr Arun Kumar Mehta today chaired a meeting with the Administrative Secretaries of different departments to discuss the integration of the rapid assessment system with the online services offered by the government in Jammu and Cashmere.

Additional Chief Secretary Home, Additional Chief Secretary Finance, Principal Secretary, H&UDD, Principal Secretary, GAD, Principal Secretary Irrigation and Flood Control, Secretary Commissioner Rural Development and Public Relations, Commissioner/ Secretary, FCS&CA and other senior officials attended the meeting.

The IT secretary, deputy commissioners and other officers attended the meeting virtually.

While presiding over the meeting, the Chief Secretary instructed officers to ensure that offline processing of cases for services offered online be completely removed and shift to online mode for better tracking and transparency with citizens’ comments is guaranteed by July 15. He argued that public satisfaction with service delivery should be the yardstick by which our achievements are measured.

With regard to services under the PSGA, he issued instructions to DCs to ensure that all services are made available to citizens in a timely manner. He said the PSGA deadlines for these services should be synchronized with the online portal and any failure to deliver services within the notified deadlines should be monitored by departments to take action against the commission of willful defaults.

The chief secretary ordered the concerned to carry out surprise inspections and submit inspection reports regarding the offline/online handling of cases. He also ordered that all issues related to the full switchover, including payment gateway issues, be resolved within a week.

The Chief Secretary also directed those concerned to involve CSCs and Khidmat Centers to further facilitate ease of services to citizens, in addition to regulating fees charged by service providers.

The Chief Secretary briefed the CDs on the number of online services and told them that people should feel assured of timely service delivery.

He was informed by the IT secretariat that in addition to 207 services, 23 additional services are being integrated and will very soon be dedicated to public use. It was also assured that all these services would be assimilated to the RAS for public comments and suggestions.
